Who are we?

We’re a pet loving family! We have a dog, a cat and a pet bunny!

I’m Christine (the blog writer): I’m a rabbit owner and expert with years of experience with rabbit care, rabbit diet, and different rabbit breeds. I hope to answer all your questions about having a pet rabbit.

As a kid, I had bunnies growing up (both mini lops). So when my daughter took an interest in them, we opened our home to a fun little Holland lop named Easter. Easter free roams in our house, which isn’t for everybun, but seems to work for him. He’s 3 years old and full of spunk!

Update: Sadly, on August 25, 2022, Easter Asher passed away. He was 1 month shy of his 5th birthday. He succumb to GI stasis, which he had battled his whole life. Any bit of foreign material he happen to consume would disrupt his digestive tract, which would then lead to him not eating, which would make the problem worse. We were able to save him many times (with many trips to the vet and even an overnight stay), but this time was the worst.

Being a bunny family, we weren’t going to be without a bunny for long.

On September 10, 2022, we welcomed Daisy into our home. Daisy is a young, mixed breed rabbit, but with a lot of New Zealand in her. Her right ear flops down because as a baby rabbit, she was injured and it never stood up.

Daisy also free roams but has a bit larger enclosure than Easter did. We built this out of these wire grid shelves. We ended up removing the food bowl from her litter box as we quickly realized she did not like to eat in her litter box like Easter did!
